Local media is getting increasingly more important. The fact that the number of media channels have increased and are more diversified prompts people to monitor the media which are closer to them. In that sense local media can be more favourable for people as it provides more information and news regarding the region when compared with the national media which is although far stronger than the local media but lacks such interest in the locals.
